A new year has already set in and for many of us that means new diets, exercise plans and trying to get into that pair of jeans or new dress that we haven’t quite been able to walk out into public in yet. I don’t exclude myself from this list and can happily say yoga is my new ( and old friend ) and something that I hope gets me to my own personal goals. With all this exercise, eating right is naturally the next right step. So what better way to help you eat right and loose that extra weight hands free, Freshology could be your answer. It’s a modern way to “provide clients with an extraordinarily effective program for weight loss and wellness” all while ” utilizing a unique curriculum that combines healthy gourmet meals and distinctive professional life guidance tools to support each client on an enlivening journey toward self-improvement.”

In short, you get gourmet meals delivered each day to your door step ready for you to feast on. I love the idea of health at my door. If only they were in my area, but hopefully they are in yours ( lucky goose you ). Just make sure that whatever your New Years resolution is, it’s making you a better person.

Luck!

{ The Chocolate – a dessert bakery

I have found that over my life that I have spent a great deal of time hoping and looking for “something” that is anywhere but where I currently am. It wasn’t until I moved to Utah that I was happy to dream of all things local. I love finding new places and things to do here, however I will admit I don’t think I will ever stop dreaming of London or Australia. Never the less Utah has held my attention for almost 4 years now, it is a place that I have grown to love and can’t really see myself anywhere else. The Chocolate isn’t a new name or face to me, however while driving down State Street in Orem, I saw their spanking new building with their name on it. I have known for a while that The Chocolate was opening up shop, but honestly had forgotten about it until this pleasant days drive. It is a shame the birthdays and holidays season have passed. I would have liked to put a vast majority of their goodies to work at my house. It’s sad to think I have already started my New Year’s diet, but am confident to say that when I am in the mood to indulge I will be stopping by this fine dessert bakery for some tasty treats.

What type are you?

I am confident in saying there are enough online quizzes out there to make ones head spin. Ranging from, “What twilight character are you?”, “How many kids will you have when you grow up?” to even “What celebrity you most look like”. In all fairness nothing that really is of any interest or value to me. But my views on this concept changed when I came across “What type are you?”. Now there is something I can get my hands on.

Curious? Go ahead, find out what type face you are.
Tip*password is character.

While randomly searching for some poster inspiration for a project I am working on at work, I came across these lovely photos of Castles by Stephane Suisse. I have always had a soft spot for photography, and when the composition is something this magnificent I cannot help but lust a bit. Stephane captures another time and place that I all to often long for while being in Utah. There is a history within these image walls, a story that I want to know and ponder. A place I want to live and belong to. I love photographs that capture life, life perhaps that once was and is no longer but regardless holds a moment in time.

Make sure to check out Stephane’s other work. His talent is truly limitless and something that shouldn’t be missed. Also, like myself if you have fallen in love with his photography they are available for purchase from his website.

Being in Utah I am automatically thrown into the mixing pot of some amazing architecture that is the Latter Day Saint Temples. These masterpieces glow in both Salt Lake and Utah Valleys, and even on the east coast the Washington D.C. Temple remains a landmark for on going travelers & traffic directors. To my great delight one of the blogs I follow had a post on a photographer today, Jonas Peterson. As I skimmed over the post I was cheerfully greeted with photos of a LDS wedding in an Australia Temple. I love the mood and charm this couple has. How their personality is complemented by the earthy subtle details that Jonas is able to capture. This makes me want to pullout my own wedding photos, cuddle up with my hubby & giggle until all hours of the morning.

Thanks Jonas for capturing a couples new beginning as well as bringing me back to mine.

A few awhiles ago… my husband and I stumbled upon a great sale at a local furniture shop. This “said sale” had one grand king bed that had our name written all over it. So of course we bought the bed, set up the bed and now sleep in this “said bed”. I could easily call this the end of a happy story but sadly that is not the case This wonderful bed has yet to find a cover of any kind that will fit her. I never though that finding a “king spread” would be so hard and to someone who has bought two covers that did not fit, even though it did say “King” on them.. I find myself heart broken.

Today’s cheer me up is a bed cover in mint and gold that I am pretty sure I would sell my left kidney for. Let’s be honest, any good design will do that to you. Karen has a fresh and new twist with her patterns. her color choice helps to not over power her use of shapes and elements which allow for some great breathing room for this beautiful set. Husband of mine better watch out, pretty sure I am going to be pestering him for this one.

ps. Just because I am lusting over here bed cover doesn’t mean she doesn’t have other lust worthy items. Make sure to check her whole site out.
